Glass is a very durable product. Our museums exhibit glass from the Roman area and there should be no reason to daubt that the stained glass art we make, will outlive you and your children.

Unfortunately there is an other side to it: Glass can break easily. It can happen that your dog pushes against your stained glass pannel or someone hits his head against your tiffany lamp - now you need a specialist to repair the damage.

BRANDEN GATES STUDIOS DOES STAINED GLASS REPAIRS WORLD-WIDE :

We conduct repairs all over the world - of course, we do hope your damage is not so big that it pays to fly us in, but yes, we do come - even to Afganistan!

1. SMALL SCALE AND LOCAL REPAIRS (500 Miles Radius from Frankfurt, 800 Miles from Bangkok, 100 Miles from Toronto)
In the following we like to explain you the proceedere for small repairs and repairs within a radius of aproximately 500 miles of one of our studios :

1. Please find out if the damage is covered by your insurance (normaly it is).
2. When you call us (0049-6341-648 078), tell us if the broken stained glass is made of leaded glass or of Tiffany-Style. If you can, send us pictures or show the damage via internet vido. Please see if you can remove the item yourself (eg. a lamp you can disconnect yourself, a pannel might be fixt or not) .
3. If the item can be easyly transported, you can make an appointment to bring it to our nearest studio location or you can send it by mail. If you wish, we will pick it up, but we will have to charge you for this (that is usally covered by the insurance as well).
4. If we have to come and remove the item from its fixture we will have to charge you for our time spent as well as travelling cost.
5. Pay us a deposit (cheque, money order, cash, or bank transfere) - without that we will not start any work!
6. Depending on the availability of replacement glass the repair can take between 2 and 6 weeks.

2. LARGE SCALE ON-SITE REPAIRS ALL OVER THE WORLD

1. We need detailed information of the damage via photos.
2. We want you to connect with us by internet-vido (skype) with a directable camera.
3. In most cases we will do the repair on-site, which means, we need to know the climatic conditions of your location and the voltage of your electric system (for the tools we bring).
4. Sometimes we need asistance with the visa to enter your country. Getting a work permit, we can usually avoid by declaring us to be an associate of one of your local contractors.
5. We need the assitance of one of your contractors or a local handyman (lifting, scaffolding etc.)
6. You should provide us with air line tickets and accomodation. Travell expenses can be kept low, if you are not in a rush and we can connect from places we frequent ( Hongkong, Moscow, Bahrain, Muscat, Singapore).
